Have you been granted a 20 Year Celebration Event by Groundspeak? NCGO would like to encourage you to use it to host a really special celebration. We would like to financially support your Celebration Event. To do so, and to make sure we fund well-thought-out events, we request a short written proposal to the Steering Committee.

When applying for support, please include the planned venue and time of your celebration, some details about what you plan to do to make your event memorable, and estimated costs. Also include your current contact information. We intend to support up to $250 of expenses for facility rental, prizes or activities and food and drinks for approved proposals. (No alcohol please–caching is a family hobby/fixation). Our treasurer will reimburse you after you provide receipts. Please submit your ideas to celebration@ncgeocachers.org.

We don’t know how many 20 Year Celebration Events will be granted to North Carolina geocachers, or when they will be granted. As a result, we may not be able to support all requests. We would like to support one or more in each month from May through December. Of course that will depend, in part, on when they are awarded and when you want to host an event. So the more you tell us about your plans, the better we’ll be able to decide which events we can support. Details will also help to coordinate scheduling your events.
